WHY? Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)
The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted in India. It serves as a gateway for admissions to undergraduate engineering programs at prestigious technical institutes, including the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The exam consists of two stages: JEE Main and JEE Advanced. JEE Main is conducted twice a year, while JEE Advanced is conducted once for the top-ranking candidates of JEE Main. JEE tests candidates’ knowledge in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, and success in these exams opens doors to excellent educational opportunities in the field of engineering.
01.
Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs): Based on their JEE Advanced ranks, candidates can secure admission to undergraduate engineering programs offered by the prestigious IITs located across India.
02.
National Institutes of Technology (NITs): Candidates can also consider admission to National Institutes of Technology based on their JEE Main ranks. NITs are renowned technical institutions offering various engineering disciplines.
selection criteria for JEE
The selection criteria for JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) are based on the performance of candidates in JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The ranks are determined through normalization of scores and percentile calculation. Top-ranking candidates in JEE Main are eligible for JEE Advanced, where further rankings are assigned. The final selection is made based on All India Ranks (AIR) or category-wise ranks, determining admission to prestigious engineering institutes in India.
